Emmys 2014 Fashion

On the night of the infamous television awards, fashion was front and center.  There were dramatic gowns, short films dresses and even some very comedic elements (I’m talking to you, Lena Dunham).  While these ladies all came together from their very different television categories, the fashion trends seemed to remain consistent.  Basically, if you were dressed in anything else besides red/coral/hot pink, a metallic or white – who were you and what were you doing at the Emmys?  Long, clingy silhouettes were popular with a few fuller gowns making appearances.  See the trends below!

Fall 2014’s Hottest Colors

While I take a break from blogging about individual shows from New York’s Fashion Week, I still want to focus on the details of it!  A week before all of the shows started, Pantone announced their choices for the most popular colors for the Fall 2014 season.  So, did designers oblige by these hues or did they do as designers often do, and go in their own direction?  Let’s see if these colors trended throughout the shows of NYFW Fall 2014.

Though Misted Yellow was an apparent no-show in the Fall shows (even with all of the pastel), maybe it will have better luck come Spring Fashion week!

The Colors of Spring RTW 2013

While details such as cut and length are big concerns when a new season is approaching, colors are also a major factor to bring into play.  The color spectrum for this upcoming season is truly all over the place and includes pastels as well as darker hues and even punchy shades.  As reported by Harper’s Bazaar, the big colors for this season are as follows.  Enjoy!
