While I take a break from blogging about individual shows from New York’s Fashion Week, I still want to focus on the details of it! A week before all of the shows started, Pantone announced their choices for the most popular colors for the Fall 2014 season. So, did designers oblige by these hues or did they do as designers often do, and go in their own direction? Let’s see if these colors trended throughout the shows of NYFW Fall 2014.

Though Misted Yellow was an apparent no-show in the Fall shows (even with all of the pastel), maybe it will have better luck come Spring Fashion week!
Maybe it’s the cool, crisp weather we’ve been having but I am CRAVING fall and its fabulous new fashions that come along with the season. All I want is to break out some amazing coats, cozy knits and great boots. This inspiration post is all about the warmed up styles for those cooler days that are quickly approaching! With major borrowings from menswear, this season is all about oversize well, everything! And I can’t love it more!

I was checking my e-mail from this week which is usually FULL of deals, discounts, new arrival alerts, etc., from all of my favorite stores, brands and designers. There was one e-mail in particular that caught my attention and it was from Tory Burch, featuring these beauties below.
Can there be a more perfect spring-time shoe? These Marlow Loafers would go amazingly with a pair of skinny jeans or boyfriend jeans rolled up (a spring staple). They look so comfy and can be worn to run around in (not literally) all day without suffering pain. I’m thinking these are going to have to be a purchase sometime in the near future!
While styles may come and go and we all look back on certain trends that we probably never want to revisit again, there ARE, however certain things that must really always be in your closet. At all times. For every and any occasion or outfit. These are the old-faithfuls that have treated us well over years of fashion. Here they are, along with some of my favorites in each category.
Black Ankle Boots – paired with jeans, skirts, dresses – you name it! The perfect go-to shoe to dress up or down.
Acne, Rag & Bone, Maison Martin Margiela
Statement Necklace – Need to glam-up an outfit? Look no further than the statement necklace! It pulls together any outfit and can turn a plain tee and jeans outfit into a great night-out look.
Tom Binns, Emporio Armani, Marni
Clutch – The perfect “bag” for a night out or an errand to run when you just need your card, phone, and maybe some fab red lipstick.
Lanvin, Alexander McQueen, Saint Laurent
Flats – These can be switched out with the first “must-have” and can be worn with almost everything. Flats are great everyday shoes that you can just slip on and be off! Plus, the colors and prints that you can choose to work them into an outfit are limitless – just look at the ones below!
Valentino, Stella Mccartney, Tory Burch

Tory Burch’s new Resort 2013 collection makes me want to book a vacation somewhere, ANYWHERE – just as long as I can purchase all of these amazing looks to wear. With an overall preppy, laid-back feel, this collection has you covered from brunch in the morning to poolside all day followed by a romantic dinner at night. Lots of navy, seafoam green and purple adorn printed day dresses, printed pants and tunics. Don’t forget a great pair of wedges and a straw bag and you are ready for a fabulous getaway.

With Thanksgiving creeping up ever so quickly this week and Christmas and other holidays right behind it, what better excuse than now to get a new outfit! Tory Burch has got her selection of holiday looks and they are definitely some of my favorites this season! The collection includes gowns, shift dresses, pant suits, evening coats and tunics (to mention just a few) While there are a few options to choose from, Tory does not skip out on this year’s major trends for each of the looks – including peplum, sparkly embellishments and fabulous neutrals. See below for some of my favorites and start planning your holiday ensemble now!

While many of any upcoming season’s trends and fashions may not be too conventional, this fall’s bags are all that and more. We may see lots of prints and busy outfits however going overboard is not what this season’s bags are about. Black, structured and perfectly acceptable for work and school, all you’ll need to figure out is what to fill it with. (I’m sure us ladies won’t have a problem with that!) Below are my suggestions. Enjoy!
I realize it’s only Tuesday but I know I’m not alone when I say I am so ready for the weekend. And what better way to get through the weekly struggles than to coordinate some Weekend Ensembles. Lucky for us fashionistas, one of our most beloved designers, Tory Burch has pre-selected some coveted items from her collection specifically for weekend. Whether you’re going casual or dressy, Ms. Burch has got you covered with fall pieces ranging from leather jackets to the popular spring-to-fall trend of colored skinny jeans. Below are some of my favored picks. Enjoy!
