BCBG Max Azria Fall 2014

Comfort is not even the word. I literally want to take each piece of the Fall 2014 BCBG Max Azria collection, compile it into a huge bed and snuggle up in it until the end of winter. Max and Lubov sure has me lusting over each and every piece of one of the first collections to walk down the runway this season.

With perfect color-blocked lines and luxurious fur in a dark yet neutral color palette, these models looked like they were ready to walk outside into the blistery cold polar-vortex weather of NYC (in every good way possible that is). Relaxed layers are shaping up to be one of the popular trends even after just the first day of New York Fashion Week. And although it is only the first fabulous day of this highly anticipated week, BCBG Max Azria is sure to be a favorite. It may even have us wishing for next fall/winter – wait more cold weather? Ugh, fine – only if I get to don one of these fab fur pouches.. or scarves.. or skirts..or coats!

Maybe it’s the cool, crisp weather we’ve been having but I am CRAVING fall and its fabulous new fashions that come along with the season. All I want is to break out some amazing coats, cozy knits and great boots. This inspiration post is all about the warmed up styles for those cooler days that are quickly approaching! Fashionably Versatile

There is one fashion issue we all run into every now and again, and that’s how to wear coveted pieces from season to season. One piece that can survive the cold months of winter right through the sweltering summer days is the denim shirt. Denim, chambray, jean – call it what you want but also wear it with whatever you want! The denim trend has caught on like fire in recent years and it continues to hold strong with so many favoring the denim shirt. Styling it has become a favorite past time of mine and let’s face it, one can never have too many of these shirts. Pair it with a statement necklace and printed skinnies & heels – you’ll look like you walked out of the latest J.Crew catalog. Below are some ways you can change it up with chambray!

Holographic Extras

When I was younger, the only “holographic” that mattered to kids was if their Pokemon cards were holographic or not. Now, holographic accessories have taken over the fashion world. Spotted on the feet or slung over the shoulder of the best dressers, hologram-covered extras were all the rage at New York Fashion Week. Designers apparently can’t choose just one color, so they choose hologram and get all the colors of the rainbow! This trippy trend has totally caught my attention (though not so sure I would wear it) and it’s about to catch on even more once all the new collections arrive at stores in the upcoming seasons. There’s nothing more important than a transitional piece of outerwear for these upcoming still-cool-but-it’s-spring months. The perfect item is the bomber jacket. While it will not weigh you down or make you uncomfortably warm when unnecessary, the bomber jacket is a great piece to dress up or down and it’s totally practical.

With Fashion Week in full swing, every fashionista needs to be prepared for the unexpected and that means carrying a lot of extra essentials in your bag while running around NYC. Luckily for us, designers have created the perfect bag for toting around our alarming collection of necessary items – the Trapeze Tote. What started strictly with Celine, the Trapeze Tote has been expanded and is included by many other designers and now we have the difficult decision of picking our favorite. Black & White & Mod All Over

Marie Claire recently had a photo shoot showcasing the ever-popular colors : black and white. The magazine paired some fabulous looks with a bob-sporting model. While I’m indifferent about the hair, the clothes speak volumes all by themselves. With graphic prints and sharp lines adorning suits, dresses and separates, black and white never looked so good. No need to read anymore from me, see for yourself!

The Perfect It-Bag

I feel like something has been missing in my life. Oh, I know – I need a new go-to, perfect for every event, and super cute BAG! When I saw Michael Kors Large Fulton Pebbled Leather Satchels, I almost fell over and died because I had found it, the perfect bag. This bag comes in fabulous colors. It has a top handle as well as a strap – totally versatile. And finally, it’s roomy so I can store all my totally unnecessary items that I must carry around with me at all times. At a perfect price of $328, what else could you want besides Michael Kors himself to walk around with you, guiding you to the vey best styles and trends (wait, can that happen please?) Until that can actually happen, I’ll just take the bag for now…. But I’ll be waiting for you Mr. Kors.
