Zara Simplifies Spring
Zara presented the season’s trends perfectly (as usual) with the release of their Spring 2014 Lookbook. In true Zara fashion, they managed to touch on each major style trend for spring (fringe, pastels, Hawaiian floral prints, crop tops/midi skirts combo) all while taking a minimalist approach to the whole campaign. Take a look at the Lookbook images while we all lust over these pieces until they hit our closets.
Inspiration Post #2
Maybe it’s the cool, crisp weather we’ve been having but I am CRAVING fall and its fabulous new fashions that come along with the season. All I want is to break out some amazing coats, cozy knits and great boots. This inspiration post is all about the warmed up styles for those cooler days that are quickly approaching! With major borrowings from menswear, this season is all about oversize well, everything! And I can’t love it more!

Coral for Spring
I can’t think of a punchier, perkier or more perfect color for spring than coral. It’s the just-right mix of pastel and bright, depending on the hue you choose. It compliments every skin color. It also goes with every color of the rainbow – so color and outfit combos are truly endless! Coral is also a perfect color to wear into the hot summer months. But for now, we will just use it as a summer buffer to wear during the spring months. The above look is from J. Crew and it inspired me to scour sites for everything coral to add to my closet.
Roughin It With Leather
No longer do we see leather only associated with bikers on Harley’s. Anyone who knows even the slightest bit about fashion knows that you cannot have a complete wardrobe without some leather! Those in the know are also aware that leather has transitioned from basic black (although that is most definitely still most popular) to a variety of colors! You can wear leather for it’s warmth – such as jackets, gloves or boots, or you can wear a leather shell top or skirt and feel instantly slimmer and a bit tougher. Maybe we haven’t left behind the whole leather-wearing-badass-on-a-bike picture, however we’re making it a much chicer trend these days.
